debis AirFinance Places Two Fokker 100 Aircraft on Lease With Western Australia based Skywest Airlines

 

debis AirFinance, one of the world's largest aircraft leasing and asset management companies, has signed a contract with Western Australia based regional carrier Skywest for a medium term operating lease of two Fokker 100 aircraft. The first aircraft was delivered to Skywest on 28 April 2004. Delivery of the second aircraft is scheduled for July 2004.

 

Skywest, which currently flies from Perth to 13 destinations, is a result of several mergers between a number of aviation industry operators throughout the country, and can trace its origins back to 1963. Skywest operates a fleet of Fokker 50 and Fokker 100 aircraft, which are utilised for scheduled regular passenger transport services as well as charter services for the corporate market.

 

Klaus Heinemann, Chief Executive Officer of debis AirFinance, commented on the transaction: “We are very pleased to be selected to provide these two aircraft to one of Australia’s most successful regional airlines. This deal with Skywest shows that operators continue to recognise the attractive economics of the Fokker 100, which make it a cost-effective state-of-the-art lease aircraft.”
