debis AirFinance Leases New Airbus A319 to TACA

debis AirFinance, one of the world's largest aircraft leasing and asset management companies, announced today that it has purchased a new Airbus A319-100 aircraft and has placed it on operating lease with the Central American carrier TACA International Airlines S.A.  The lease term runs for five years. TACA International Airlines S.A is part of the consortium Grupo TACA, the leading operator in Central America.

The IAE V2500-A5 powered aircraft (MSN 1934) will be operated on the Grupo TACA route system, which includes 20 countries and 33 cities, via three important hubs from San Salvador, (El Salvador), San Jose, (Costa Rica) and Lima (Peru). The A319-100 aircraft equipped with IAE engines has proven to be the most efficient aircraft for Grupo Taca’ s route system and is well accepted for its passenger comfort. With this aircraft Grupo Taca will be operating a total of 28 Airbus A320 family aircraft with an average age of 3.4 years, one of the newest fleets in the Americas.

Commenting on the A319 transaction with TACA, debis AirFinance Chief Executive Officer Klaus Heinemann stated: “This new aircraft deal further strengthens our existing relationship with TACA. We are pleased to be able to support TACA’s growth and fleet renewal.”
