Job summary

AerCap is seeking a motivated individual to join its Group Financial Reporting team as the Manager of Financial Reporting.

In this position, reporting to the Vice President Financial Reporting, you will be primarily responsible for the preparation of AerCap’s periodic US GAAP financial statements as filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. In addition, during off-peak financial reporting periods you will be involved in reviewing and establishing accounting policies, reviewing new and emerging accounting pronouncements relevant to the aircraft leasing business, supporting the business with accounting analysis of proposed and completed transactions, and other special projects. At AerCap you will be challenged to develop yourself, to extend your knowledge and skills and to proactively participate in projects and to improve company processes. The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or local equivalent) with relevant years of working experience in financial reporting.

Role Responsibilities

  • Preparation of US GAAP/SEC compliant reporting at quarter and year ends
  • Preparation of financial information and analysis, including summaries of quarterly performance supporting internal reports and quarterly earnings press releases
  • Assist the accounting policy and transaction support team to develop and implement accounting policies and to assist with transaction accounting analysis, and other special projects
  • Improve financial reporting processes
  • Supply information to internal and external auditors and work closely with them to ensure efficient and timely quarterly review and year-end audit procedures

Job requirements, qualifications, and competencies

Educational/Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or local equivalent)
  • Relevant experience in an international environment including a big four audit firm
  • Relevant experience with Financial Reporting in an international environment (US GAAP is a plus)
