Leasing Coordinator, China

Reports to:
Executive Vice President & Head of Asia Pacific

Job summary

The Leasing Coordinator provides close support to the Leasing Executives with a focus on the China market. This position will also involve liaison with different departments such as Contracts, Technical, Materiel and Legal. To succeed, the candidate must be positive, detail-oriented and highly organized, takes initiative and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 

Primary Functions & Responsibilities

Term Sheet Management

  • Work closely with Leasing Executives to support them in drafting of Term Sheets and Transaction Approval Requests for the Asia Pacific Region, specifically focusing on the China and Greater China markets
  • Manage and oversee related workflow processes daily in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Event Coordination

  • Planning and execution of events for the leasing team, both locally and overseas as required
  • Overseas travel as necessary for event support

Leasing Team Support

  • Closely support Leasing Executives in the preparation of internal or external marketing presentations or projects as required
  • Retrieval of data on airlines, aircraft and competing lessors as requested
  • Travel coordination, claim submission and administrative support as required for leasing team; in particular being able to support Leasing Executives who frequently travel in different time zones
  • Ensure country-specific compliance in line with company policies

Inter-departmental Support

  • Provision of ad-hoc administrative back-up support for other departments as required

Job Requirements, Qualifications, and Competencies

Educational & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation, business administration or similar fields
  • Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in corporate environment, with a focus on Marketing/Leasing administration and events, preferably within aviation

Technical & Functional Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and fluent in Mandarin
  • Excellent knowledge of China and Chinese business customs strongly preferred
  • Project and Events experience is preferred; ability to master and take ownership of projects
  • Detail-oriented and work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Highly organized and flexible; ability to multi-task and excel in high-stress situations and a fast-paced environment  Able to take initiative and complete projects with limited supervision; understanding the impact on deadlines  Proactively identify errors and issues, address problems and demonstrate proven problem-solving skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Willing and able to execute tasks and assume responsibilities outside of the position’s scope
  • Flexible, self-starting and tenacious with an exceptional aptitude for dealing with ambiguity
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal clients and gains their trust and respect

  • Communicate effectively with individuals both internal and external to AerCap
