Manager, Fixed Assets and Intercompany (11 month contract role)

Job summary

AerCap is seeking to recruit a qualified financial accountant with 2+ years post qualification experience to join its Ireland Finance team as a Manager on an 11 month fixed term contract.

AerCap is the global leader in aircraft leasing with, as of March 31, 2018, 1,519 owned, managed or on order aircraft in its portfolio. AerCap has one of the most attractive order books in the industry. AerCap serves approximately 200 customers in approximately 80 countries with comprehensive fleet solutions.

Essential functions

Reporting to the Director of Accounting Operations the main responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Maintenance of intercompany routings for all companies across the AerCap group
  • Reconciling intercompany balances and preparation of intercompany interest on a quarterly basis
  • Preparation of transfer pricing on a quarterly basis
  • Liaise with accounts payable and accounts receivable teams to ensure intercompany debtors and creditors reconcile
  • Prepare minimum insurance values for all aircraft
  • Assist Manager of Fixed Assets in preparation of SOX controls, monthly reconciliations and postings
  • Special projects as required

Job requirements, qualifications, and competencies  


  • Third level qualification in a relevant discipline with a minimum 2+ years post qualification experience
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
  • Experience with Sun Accounts or another ERP system is an advantage
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
  • PC literate with very strong excel skills
  • Knowledge of the Aviation industry an advantage
