Manager, Local Reporting (11 month Fixed Term Contract)

Job summary

AerCap is seeking to recruit a qualified financial accountant with 1-3 years post qualification experience to join its Ireland Finance team as a Manager.

Essential functions

Reporting to the Director, Ireland Finance the main responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Preparation of annual Statutory financial statements, dealing with statutory audit and interaction with both Irish and International auditors
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare the financial statements for year-end audited accounts
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with the relevant accepted policies and procedures
  • Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met
  • Coordinate and liaise with auditors
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
  • Co-ordination of tax filings with AerCap tax department
  • Special projects as required

Job requirements, qualifications, and competencies


  • Third level qualification in a relevant discipline with a minimum 1-3 years post qualification experience
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
  • US GAAP/IFRS experience
  • Experience with Sun or another ERP system is an advantage
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
  • PC literate with very strong excel skills
  • Knowledge of the Aviation industry an advantage
