Job Summary
AerCap is seeking a bright, motivated mid-level lawyer to work alongside colleagues in leading and prosecuting the legal aspects of high value debt and equity aircraft financing, aircraft trading, new aircraft procurement and other legal matters, enforcement of contract compliance and contribution to the fostering of key investor and other relationships vital to AerCap’s continued success.
Working in a dynamic international environment, the Corporate Legal Counsel will gain unparalleled experience in a wide variety of aircraft finance, aircraft trading and new aircraft procurement matters working with experienced lawyers and other senior personnel to execute high profile aviation transactions with the leading aviation lessor. The Corporate Legal Counsel will be responsible for supporting on and leading legal negotiations with banks and other financial institutions, export credit agencies, lessors and their respective external counsel and will also have the unique opportunity to work alongside other senior team members on high value purchase and other transactions with aircraft and engine OEMs.
The role will involve liaising and co-ordinating with internal stakeholders as well as external counterparties and their respective counsel to bring transactions to a close within compressed timeframes and providing legal advice to the business on a range of matters.
This position requires strong legal and analytical skills, commercial acumen, strong communication and interpersonal skills, good judgment and strong organizational skills. The successful candidate must be adept at working independently and as part of a team and at managing multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
