Supporting the growth and development of aviation in the SE Asia Region

AerCap Holdings N.V. (“AerCap” or the “Company”) (NYSE: AER) today announced it will provide 10 scholarships to students of the Faculty of Engineering at the International School of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand’s number one ranked university and a world-class leader in aerospace engineering education.

Over a 4-year period, AerCap will provide 10 fully funded scholarships to students of the undergraduate degree program in Aerospace Engineering. Aengus Kelly, Chief Executive Officer of AerCap, said, “We are very proud to partner with such a prestigious institution as Chulalongkorn University. While we recognize the financial hardship and difficulties faced by many people across the world as a result of the global pandemic, it is very important to continue to educate the next generation of aerospace pioneers through educational programs such as this degree in Aerospace Engineering. Through this initiative, AerCap will support the Royal Thai Government’s goal of making Thailand the center of aviation in South-East Asia. We look forward to collaborating with the Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn over the coming years.”

Prof. Supot Teachavorasinskun, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Chulalongkorn University said, “This collaboration between Chulalongkorn University and AerCap represents a dedicated effort to ensure Thailand’s future as a regional aviation hub. Strong collaborative links between industry and academia are crucial for the provision of a cutting edge and industry-relevant engineering education. This aligns directly with Chulalongkorn University’s mission to continue leading in this capacity, with a commitment to industry-led workshops and lectures, along with industry research projects - all contributing to an engaging and enriching learning experience. AerCap’s substantial and generous scholarship program will support the Aero Engineering program in continuing to attract highly talented individuals into this growing and flourishing industry.”
